Topic:

Dr. Lily Parkinson will be discussing approaches to common exotic companion animal presentations. The presentation will cover unusual diagnoses in exotic companion mammals, but the typical diagnostic algorithm utilized for each case will be detailed and common differential diagnoses will be discussed for multiple exotic companion mammals. Dr. Parkinson will also discuss emergency triage and management in avian patients.

 

 

Speaker Bio:

Lily Parkinson, DVM, Dipl. ACZM, Dip. ACVECC

Dr. Lily Parkinson attended Colorado State University for her undergraduate and veterinary studies. She then completed a small animal rotating internship at North Carolina State University followed by a Zoological Medicine and Surgery Residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Milwaukee County Zoo, and International Crane Foundation. She then travelled to the University of Georgia for a small animal emergency and critical care residency. She is now a clinical veterinarian at the Brookfield Zoo.
